Queen Creek Barrel Racing 8-12

Another week has gonna by and this past week I was able to go check out the Barrel racing again. I really love the contrast of the size and speed of the horses. It is a nightmare lighting-wise for me as the lights are too high for the far away shots. Throw in a setting sun and you can have all sorts of issues.

This week I rode my bike over in 102 degree heat and when I got there I sat down to drink some water and this was my view when I looked up. I knew it was worth the trip for sure.

Before the races I was scoping out some horses and these guys seem to want to pose for my camera so I took their shot.

Another thing I like when taking photos is the pure power of the horse. Sometimes the horse can show extreme power in the rear while gingerly making turns around the barrels.

Take that and add in some flowing hair in action and it makes for a great shot.

This week I also did some Facebook live video and although I captured 2 of the 3 barrels this week I think I can get all three in the video. You can see them and the 4 albums of photos on the CameraWe Facebook page.
